Queen is a rock band formed in 1970 in London by Brian May, Freddie Mercury and Roger Taylor, British, the latter two being from the Group Smile. The following year, the bassist John Deacon complements training.

It is one of the largest groups of British rock to success these past thirty years, Queen sold indeed more than 300 million albums internationally in 2009, including 32.5 million in the United States.
According to an opinion poll commissioned in Britain by the BBC Two and released in 2007, Queen is regarded as the 'best British band of all time", ahead of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Queen is also one of the pioneers of the video clip, having operated this mode of communication in 1975. After the death of its leader Freddie Mercury in 1991, Queen kept very many unconditional admirers all over the world.

Queen Rock Montréal

On 24 and 25 November, Queen played two sell out nights at the Montreal Forum, Quebec, Canada.[83] One of Mercury's most notable performances of The Game's final track, "Save Me", took place in Montreal, and the concert is recorded in the live album, Queen Rock Montreal.[84]

Queen Rock Montreal is a live album by the English rock band Queen. It was released on 29 October 2007 as a double CD, DVD, and triple vinyl.

It was recorded in Montreal, Quebec at the Montreal Forum on 24 November and 25 November 1981, ten years to the date before lead singer Freddie Mercury died of complications related to AIDS.[3] Allmusic described Queen's performance in Montreal as being "deliberately theatrical and often majestic".[1]

This marks the first official release of the film soundtrack to the concert film We Will Rock You on an audio-only format. Unlike the original video release of We Will Rock You, which has been re-released as Queen Rock Montreal, the album and CD features the full show (including "Flash" and "The Hero") fully remixed.

The Works (Queen album)

The Works is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 27 February 1984 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Capitol Records in the United States. After the synth-heavy Hot Space (1982), the album saw the re-emergence of Brian May and Roger Taylor's rock sound, while still incorporating the early 80s retro futuristic electro pop of the German electronic underground (Freddie Mercury) and New York funk scenes (John Deacon). Recorded at the Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles, California and Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany from August 1983 to January 1984, the album's title comes from a comment Taylor made as recording began – "Let's give them the works!". During the decade, after a conservative reaction against and ban of the music video for "I Want to Break Free" in the United States, the band decided not to tour in North America and lost the top spot in US sales, but sales around the world (especially Europe) would be even better. The Works has sold over 5 million copies worldwide.

"Radio Ga Ga"

The Works opens with "Radio Ga Ga". It was composed on keyboards, after Roger Taylor heard his son Felix (three years old at the time) saying "radio ca ca".[8] He wrote it in Los Angeles and locked himself in the studio with a Roland Jupiter 8 and a drum machine. Afterwards John Deacon came up with a suitable bass line. Freddie Mercury reconstructed the track, both musically and lyrically. It was still credited to Taylor since Mercury was an arranger rather than a co-writer. Fred Mandel, their session keyboardist, put together an additive track with piano, synth and a temporary bass part. Brian May used a glass slide for his guitar solo. Taylor sang all the backing vocals, and used a Vocoder throughout the song. Most of the song is made out of electronics and synthesisers.
